Chemical Abuse Prevention Program (C.A.P.P)

Our C.A.P.P. program helps families take responsibility for the environment they create that either hinders or supports their child’s ability to say “no” to alcohol or drugs. In order to reduce school suspension time and/or as a condition of probation, youth in Mobile and Baldwin counties are referred by their school or juvenile court system – with their parents – to an eight-hour intensive course on substance abuse and its effects. The “Families Who Care” curriculum, teaches strategies to reduce conflict in the home while encouraging parents to model appropriate behavior themselves.
