Red Ribbon Week: October 23-31, 2017
Observed each year in late October, Red Ribbon Week promotes the importance of a healthy, drug-free lifestyle among our youth. Click here to go to the Red Ribbon Week Planning Guide for Counselors and Educators.
Each Fall, the Drug Education Council hosts the Superintendents’ Red Ribbon Leadership Awards Program. This is an annual event to recognize an outstanding student from each school in Mobile and Baldwin counties. Student leaders will be offered the opportunity and encouraged to lead their classmates in activities during Red Ribbon Week. These activities will help to educate their peers about the dangers of substance abuse. Red Ribbon Leaders will also create and execute community service projects that promote substance abuse prevention and recovery services. More information available from your school counselor.
